Price Control Committees Unsuccessful in tackling Inflation

Quetta: Price control committees have proved unsuccessful in tackling Inflation in Quetta and entire Balochistan to give relief to people, learnt Balochistan Voices.
Shopkeepers neglect the government price list and continue looting people to sell drinking and other daily routine things at their self-determined high prices.
It is injustice with poor people in a holy month of Ramzan ul Mubarak, claim the citizens.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawaz Sanaullah Zehri, had directed to activate price control committees to check exorbitant increase in prices of essential commodities.
Chief Minister in a communication, directed divisional commissioners to provide good quality food items to people on fixed official rates during the month of Ramzan. He said the government was keeping a close watch on the prices ahead of Ramzan and hoarders and profiteers would not be allowed to fleece the poor people during the Holy Month.
He warned that severe punishment would be awarded to the culprits. But there is no check and balance to tackle inflation in Balochistan.
People of Dalbandin disturbed badly due to unavailability of fresh fruits, Vegetables and mutton in Dalbandin. Prices of chicken inflated due to shortage of mutton. People felt lot of difficulties on aftaar timing.
Same situation was observed in Provincial Capital City Quetta when Deputy Mayor Mr. Younus Baloch visited the bazaar where cheap prices were supposed to be sold but the prices were very high.
Citizens have urged government of Balochistan to take serious action against hoarding and high price shops in Balochistan to give relief to the people during Ramzan Mubarak.
