Taftan: Traders Face Problems due to Zero Point Closure

Dalbandin: Traders in Taftan have faced great deal of problems due to closure of Zero Point gate at Pak-Iran Border in Taftan, learnt Balochistan Voices.
Taftan is a town situated in Chagai District and the prime trade entry point of Pakistan with Iran.
Zero Point border gate was closed down without any reason.
Large traders placed their products in warehouses whereas smaller ones faced trouble in managing their products at the border.

“We have started small level trading due to unemployment and the closure of zero point gates has further created problems for us,” small traders told Balochistan Voices.
“Problems in Transit plans are also a great deal of trouble for us,” they added.
They lamented that Government has not created any employment opportunity for us and we have no choice but to indulge in small scale border trade.
Small traders appealed from government of Balochistan to prepare better transit plan for them and facilitate them in earning their livelihood.
