Quetta Security: 1,400 CCTV Cameras to be Installed

Quetta: After a series of fatal attacks on security officials and others in provincial capital city government has decided to install 1,400 CCTV cameras to improve security in Quetta.
This was announced by Nadeem Hussain, SSP Operations, while talking about the issue of security in Quetta city.
He added that during last few months attacks on Police, Levies and Frontier Corps (FC) have increased and that’s why government has taken the decision of installment of cameras.
“26 cameras have already been installed in busy places of the city,” he said.
Installation of cameras is part of the Quetta Safe City project where Cameras would be installed on entry and exit points of Quetta city and also on all the busy roads of the city.
A central control room will operate 24/7 to check the feed of the cameras on real time basis.
SSP Operations further said that the points where Cameras would be installed have been selected and the process of installation would commence soon.
