Washuk: Reps Demand Supply of Water and Electricity

Quetta: Public representatives of District Washuk have demanded that provincial government should take steps to provide water to people of Washuk or else they will protest.
This announcement was made by former MPA from Washuk Malik Muhammed Aala Zai, Chairman Municipal Committee Washuk Mir Basharat Ullah Khan, Member Mashkail Town Mir Jiyand Khan Reki and others while addressing a Press Conference at Quetta Press Club on Wednesday.
Washuk is one of the most deprived districts of Balochistan said Mr. Aala Zai. He lamented that due to lack of attention from QESCO officials, people of Washuk are facing problem of electricity load shedding and water scarcity.
Mir Jiyand Khan Reki Member Mashkail Town said that “In this modern era the people of Washuk and Mashkail are living in stone age. There is no electricity in Washuk since 3 months and people are sizzling in a hot weather under the sky and hottest sun shining rays.
Mr. Reki further added that People are compelled to drink water from same drain where the animals also drink water which is resulting in spread of Gastro disease.
They further said that UAE Sheikh has announced 4 water schemes for Washuk town but still the PHE officials have not taken their charge which needs Government attention.
They requested from CM Balochistan to take serious action against water scarcity and electricity load shedding problem, otherwise they will be compelled to protest in front of Balochistan Assembly and CM House.
