Dalbandin: People in Dalbandin town of Chagai district are suffering due to the alleged collusion of Flour Mills and traders, learnt Balochistan Voices.
People of Dalbandin pay Rs. 1,950 to purchase a 50 KG Flour bag but what they get is 1.5 to 5 KG short in quantity. This allegation has been corroborated to Balochistan Voices by more than one consumer.
Consumers alleged that traders have colluded with Flour Mills and they sell lesser quantity of flour to the people at full price of 50 KG.
“Public pay full price to buy flour parcel from shops to fulfill their needs but unfortunately they get less weight in return which is injustice with local residents of Dalbandin and surroundings,” Jalil Baloch, a local consumer told Balochistan Voices.
Waqar Reki, another resident, said that the collusion of local flour dealers and mill owners is resulting in economic persecution of under-privileged people of Dalbandin.
Flour mills and traders in Dalbandin were not available for a comment when contacted by Balochistan Voices.
People of Dalbandin have demanded from Chief Minister Balochistan, Commissioner Quetta Division, Deputy Commissioner Chagai and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Chagai to take action against flour mills and local traders and ensure the full quantity of flour is sold in 50 KG parcel.
