Duki and Surab Tehsils Announced to be Upgraded to Districts

Quetta: Balochistan government has announced to upgrade Duki and Surab Tehsils to Districts. This announcement was made by Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Chief Minister of Balochistan, in a political gathering in Duki, on Friday.
CM Balochistan while addressing Imran Khan said, “You go on with your Dharnas and we would keep on forming new Districts based on the development vision of Prime Minister.”

Participants of the political gathering appreciated the decision of CM Balochistan with loud cheers and applause.
It was announced in a press handout issued by Government of Balochistan that Surab would be renamed as Shaheed Mir Skinder Jan Zehri District.

Half page length advertisements were carried in all leading newspapers of Balochistan to thank CM Balochistan for giving Duki status of District.

Balochistan with an estimated population of 13 million already has 32 districts whereas Punjab which has estimated population of 120 million has just 36 districts

Duki is part of Loralai district and Surab is part of Kalat district.
