Balochistan Government to Provide Over 28,000 Jobs in next 3 Months

Quetta: Balochistan government will conduct recruitment tests for more than 28,000 jobs in next three months, Jang news Quetta citing government sources.
A policy has been formulated that recruitment tests for posts of grade 11 to 15 will be conducted through National Testing Service (NTS) and for Grade 16 and above through Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC).
Summary for these mass scale recruitment has been prepared and reportedly it will be presented for approval in cabinet meeting next month.

Earlier, it was revealed by Chief Secretary Balochistan in a meeting that over 35,000 positions are vacant in Balochistan and funds for them will be lapsed if recruitments are not made in next 6 months.
Well-placed sources in Government of Balochistan have confirmed to Balochistan Voices that thousands of positions are vacant in Balochistan but no one could confirm the claim of chief secretary that funds for vacancies would be lapsed in 6 months if recruitments are not made.
According to report of Jang news, total vacancies in provincial departments are over 27,000 and out of which 5,000 are for promotion quota. This means that over 22,000 posts are vacant for recruitment quota. In addition to these are 7,200 additional positions which were announced in budgets since 2013 but recruitments were not made on them.

Unemployed youth fear that favoritism and nepotism will be used in recruitment process

It must be noted that unemployment is a huge problem in Balochistan. According to a news story, every year almost 25,000 to 30,000 people graduate from Universities in Balochistan and hardly 1,500 of them get full time jobs.
The news of mass scale recruitments was met with mixed reactions by the unemployed youth. They expressed happiness and also fear that favoritism and nepotism will be used in recruitment process.
