Chagai: Community Policing will be Adopted to Control Crimes

Chagai: District administration of Chagai has decided to adopt community policing system in Dalbandin city to curb the constant incidents of burglaries which caused loss of hundreds of thousand rupees to citizens during last 4 months.
An unusual law and order meeting was held in municipality hall Dalbandin which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Chagai Shaihak Baloch and attend by MPA Sakhi Amanullah Notezai, Chairman District Council Chagai Mir Dawood Notezai, Lt. Colonel iftekhar Khattak, DSP Mushatq Chauhdry and large number of political, religious and tribal figures.
Deputy Commissioner Shaihak Baloch, after getting suggestions from participants, said that they will deploy 3 civilians and one policeman in every neighborhood of Dalbandin city at night times to guard the area but he cleared it that civilians would not take arms with them.
He said that the police and levies would also commence a grand operation against drug dealers and black glass vehicles to reduce the causes of crime.
MPA Sakhi Amanullah Notezai condemned new wave of criminal activities and said he had himself recovered a Hindu trader from custody of abductors after heavy exchange of firing near afghan border few years ago where his one of personal body guard had lost his life.
He said that the low populated city Dalbandin was going out of control due to criminal activities. He stressed upon need of public cooperation towards security forces and law and enforcement agencies.
Participants complained about non registration of FIR by police despite submissions of proper applications by victims, they also demanded from the authorities and political leaders to free the police and levies forces from political influence and end the culture of favoritism.
District Chairman Dawood Notezai said that the drug dens were among the main causes of increasing crimes where we are losing a generation of youth which should be stopped and a rehabilitation plan should be made for the drug addicted youths.
DSP city Mushtaq Chaudhary said they had only 285 policemen who were performing different duties in whole district. He said police had been suffering difficulties due to non-availability of judicial magistrate for last 6 months.
Lt. Colonel Iftikhar Khattak stressed upon rule of law and said if they begin checking every person and house the people would be disturbed therefore the citizens should cooperate with government forces to curb the crimes in a better way.
Large number of political, religious and tribal leaders spoke in the meeting and assured their full cooperation with district administration, police and FC for maintaining law and order in Dalbandin.
