Quetta: Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) has set up hunger strike camp against not starting classes in new Medical Colleges of Balochistan, for last 8 days in front of Quetta Press Club.
Government of Balochistan announced to establish 3 new Medical colleges in Loralai, Turbat and Khuzdar. After 4 years long time Provincial government has failed to release funds for these colleges which has prevented them from becoming functional.
Dr. Nashanas Lehri organizer BNP Awami said that it is bad that our political parties take everything on self-base and don’t leave others to go ahead. Educational emergency slogans are just dramas because construction of a lot of institutions is still pending due to the lack of funds and staff appointments.
Mr. Nashnas added that it is duty of present government to take serious action about Medical Colleges of Balochistan and ensure initiating of classes very soon.

Medical students are facing a lot of problems due to not initiating of classes in 3 Medical Colleges said Rasheed Karim Baloch Chairman BSAC while talking to Balochistan Voices. It is a question mark on the future of 150 students who have cleared the entry test for Medical Colleges and are in wait for classes. “We have been discussing this burning issue with government officials and Minister Health Rehmat Saleh Baloch since 2 months, but the situation is same,” He lamented.
Mr. Baloch lamented that if the Balochistan government will not take serious action than we will extend hunger strike till death. We are drafting petition and very soon will submit it in Balochistan High Court after suggestions of seniors.

Munir Baloch said that the representative are playing with the future of students while students are compelled to stage demonstration which is not justice. “Our educational year is being wasted,” He said.
Mr. Baloch added that it’s very sad to say that no government official or representative has come to ask their demands. We have tried many times to convince provincial government about need of commencing classes in new Medical Colleges of Balochistan, but they didn’t take any serious action in this regard.
Educational emergency slogans of Balochistan Government are just bound till speeches and media statements. It is a preplanned game to leave Balochistan backward.
