The Department of Chemistry is one of the first departments of the SBKWU; with   a very active staff. The Department is well equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation to support its research. It is the goal of the Chemistry Department to provide students with a solid foundation in the physical sciences. In the starting of 2017 a newly fully equipped building with advance technology labs has been inaugurated which is a mile stone effort. This is the objective and manifesto of SBK Women’s university to provide a quality education and no sacrifice at all on quality and in the result almost 70 % of SBKWU students secured jobs announced by Balochistan Public Service Commission.
The university has signed MoU with the hundreds of universities just for a purpose to provide a smooth platform and facilitate the students even in a more productive way to avail the services of other universities. The journey of development, Progress and prosperity is having a very long list but these are the few achievements which has been mentioned.
Few days ago a letter was published in Balochistan Voices regarding the M.phil scholars , so I would like to clarify that the due period for M.phil program is two years minimum and maximum is 3 years and it’s something crystal clear and do not need any clarification. As thousands of students are studying in the university and university is functioning according to its act and can’t change the policies without the given rules. In more than 20 departments M.phil program is going on and we have to facilitate each and every department.
SBKWU is also running PhD programs almost in 5 departments. All these initiative have been taken since 2013 after the bomb blast in the era of Prof: Dr Rukhsana jabeen,  while in that time the strength of the university was just 1500 now Alhamdilliah we crossed 8000 , this is the emerging university and the ever hope for females in Balochistan and its progress and development is directly propositional to the development of Balochistan particular and Pakistan General , According to the latest report by higher education Commission SBK women’s university was on 2nd position among all the developing universities of the country while scoring 93% as sign of progress and sustainability. If the effort will be going on with same passion, InshaAllah very soon it will be the first university among all. The day and night effort of Prof: Dr Rukhsana Jabeen has given this status to the university. It’s not only the women university in Balochistan but it is also the ever proud symbol as well.
