Quetta: Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) organized a rally on World Press Freedom day from Quetta Press Club to Balochistan Assembly, on Wednesday.
Protesters chanted slogans against their rights during the rally. The rally culminated in form of a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club.
“Journalists are working in an alarming situation in Balochistan,” said Khalil Ahmed President BUJ While expressing his views before crowd.
Senior Journalist and President Quetta Club Raza Ur Rehman and Saleem Shahid said that the Journalists are playing a vital role in such a tough time. They added that the government is unable to take countermeasures for the welfare of Journalists.
Speakers lamented that International world is working on Press Freedom rather than that Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has cancelled private News TV licenses on this day in Pakistan.
