Quetta: Blocking of roads for VVIP movement of Prime Minister disrupted traffic in Quetta, on Tuesday.
Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, arrived in Quetta on a short visit. He chaired a meeting on development and security issues at Governor House Quetta.
All nearby roads connecting to the route of the convoy of PM were blocked. All shops and markets on Airport road, Benazir Flyover and three leading schools on Zarghoon were closed down due to the route of VVIP movement of PM.
Citizens of Quetta faced long hours of traffic jams and faced difficulty in reaching their destinations during the times of movement of Prime Minister.

“VVIP moments have become a headache for people of Quetta, said a local resident of Quetta while talking to Balochistan Voices.
“Government should develop and propagate an alternative traffic plan for citizens when there is VVIP movement in the city,” urged the resident of Quetta.
