Article 158 of the Pakistan Constitution states that “the province in which a well-head of natural gas is situated shall have precedence over other parts of Pakistan in meeting the requirements from that well-head, subject to the commitment and obligations as on the commencing day”.
Now its means in any province the gas was situated then the first right of that gas or any nature gas goes to that province then Pakistan. Here the Government violates this article because they do not take too much responsibility, and sometimes the government does not settle down or is not on the same page. The government should need to enforce this rather than violate this.
For example, such as in the province of Balochistan, the gas was generated in Dera Bugti, district. Now in Dera Bugti, there is no gas while in Pakistan there is gas in many districts and provinces. Also in Baluchistan, there are areas where the gas was not provided expects some areas of Baluchistan.
So because of this, the province of Balochistan is suffering from the gas. Moreover, it is the responsibility of the government to provide the gas in the whole of Balochistan because it is the first right of Balochistan.
