On October 24, Quetta city bleed once again. This time targets were not the Hazara community, lawyers, doctors, teachers or civil society activists, but the law enforcers and maintainers. The incident reportedly killed 62 police cadets and injured more than hundred.  Attack after attacks has revealed the incapability of our government, their short-sightedness and the ad-hoc approach of their policies resultantly pushed us back to hinder the way of such heinous activities of our enemies.
Such heart-wrenching and inhumane incidents raise some questions policies and its implementation, is our intelligentsia and law enforcement agencies failed to curtail the way of terrorist and provide the sigh of relief to the citizens? Or there are something going wrong in our power corridors, which may be the reason to not let them stamp out these terrorists safe heaven completely from our homeland? After news leak, some doubts also prevailing.
As we experienced after 8th august bloodbaths in Quetta, the government and our politicians, condemned the deaths of 70 people, mostly were lawyers and declared a day of mourn.  They assured up loudly to take prompt, concrete and effective measures to not let the brutal terrorist group play with lives of innocent citizens again. But all in vain, neither had they taken such initiative nor did they succeed to stop the 24th October PTC attack in Quetta.
Recently, again the last day bomb blast at Shah Noorani shrine is revealed the competency of our government and its achievement to get rid of the menace of terrorism from the province. Shah Noorani blast killed 52 innocent people and injured more than 100 reportedly. But more shocking and alarming fact is this that terrorist group Islamic State (IS) accepted the responsibility of this carnage. On the other hand, the Provincial Interior Ministry denied the existence of Islamic State or Daesh some days earlier the current attack. What is this?
What should not be clean forgotten is that modern terrorists and militants are clever at striking their targets by systematic means and tools. These kinds of the terrorist strikes are eye openers, the government and the security providers must learn a lesson from these attacks. The government and our security agencies should diagnose their weaknesses and must toil to overcome those as early as possible, whether it would be too late.
Day after day terrorism attempt affected the life of nation drastically, sabotages the routine activities, thrown worse impacts on the individual and national economy, disrupt our culture and society and defame our country internationally and stick the tag of fear before the name of our beloved Pakistan.
On the contrary, it also instills the complexity and pessimism in the minds of our youth. When a member of our families, leaves for an outdoor work, from his departure till arrival the elders worry about his safe return to the home. The stress caused by terrorist attacks also deteriorated the mental health of our nation.
The state is considered as a mother for its habitants. There is no doubt that a mother loves her children very much and accommodates all of them without discrimination, her love is pure and unconditional. So the same obligations also apply on state’s shoulders, providing the security of life and businesses is very basic obligation to be performed by any state government. The arrangement of all basic needs to facilitate its citizens to live a comfortable life is the very demand of its people.
Just condolences and lame promises after every odious terrorist attack is not enough. This is not the government job to just issue condolence statement after every massacre and carnage. The government is responsible for diagnosing the real causes behind the terrorist activities and to take decisive measures to wipeout the existence of terrorist groups from our beloved country completely. There must be zero tolerance policy for anyone behind these brutal activities, without any discrimination of good or bad Taliban or Terrorist, for the sake of collective national interest and security, disposing off these groups is need of the hour.
For the prosperous and progressive life, the peace of mind play a vital role, the sincere and competent leadership should try hard to frame long lasting policies and implement those on an immediate basis to assure the security of the nation. The peaceful and safe Pakistan would be the epitome of   progress and prosperity on the world map.
