Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was fighting a political fight with PNA known as Pakistan National Alliance and after 40 years Imran khan is fighting a political fight with PDM known as Pakistan Democratic Movement. Nothing has changed in this Country’s politics during 40 years. When Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was Prime Minister, he said in the National assembly that America is like white elephant that never forgets and never forgives and my fault is that I did not support America in Vietnam war and I am on my way to make Pakistan a nuclear power that is why they want to end my Government.
In 1977 Henry Kissinger (Former US Secretary) conveyed to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto the reservations of US state department and letters were exchanged between them and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto got a threat letter from America. After receiving it, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto wanted to win public’s confidence and he went to Rawalpindi near Raja Bazar and he came out of his car, waved a letter which he got from America and he addressed the public and right after that he went to parliament and delivered a speech there as well.
After 40 years Imran khan is doing exactly the same; what Zulfikar Ali Bhutto did in the past. On 27th March 2022 Imran khan waved a threat letter in front of a big crowd and told everyone that America wants to end my Government because I want to make independent Foreign policy and I want to have healthy relationship with Russia and I don’t want to give Pakistan’s bases to Americans.
Imran khan is doing exactly the same what Zulfikar Ali Bhutto did. The question is how long will this continue to happen? How long will the government in our country be abolished with the help of another country? How long we will blame establishment of this country on overthrowing the government for the Americans? The question also arises that Bhutto was hanged for standing against Americans and powerful people of this country. Imran Khan is doing the same can something like this happen to Imran Khan? Every institution every political party of this country have to put the country’s interest before their own, only then this country will be developed and prosperous.
