Hub: Supply of substandard oil to Saindak copper-gold project is destroying the expensive machinery, revealed Yousaf Shahwani, Chairman All Pakistan Tankers Owners Association, while addressing a press conference in Hub.
Yousaf Shahwani said that some people are destroying a national project like Saindak for their vested interests.
Explaining the nature of problem, Mr. Shahwani said that initially Pakistan State Oil (PSO) used to supply oil to Saindak project which was of superior quality.

“Now contract of Oil supply has been granted to a company where contractor sells the superior quality oil and supplies substandard Iranian oil to Saindak Project,” alleged Mr. Shahwani.
He added that tens of millions worth of machinery in Saindak is being destroyed due to supply of poor quality of oil by the new contractors due to their vested interests.
Chairman All Pakistan Tankers Owners Association urged government to take action against supply of sub-standard oil and save the machinery of Saindak for destruction.
