There is no denying of the fact that the law and order situation has remarkably improved in the last three years particularly in Khuzdar which was once the hub of death squads who ruled the city.
People of Khuzdar have gotten rid of the menace posed by targeted killings, extortion and chaos. However, there is still one problem that they are faced with and about which nothing substantial has been done. They have been deprived of some basic privileges in the shape of a ban on pillion-riding for more than three years.
Most people in Khuzdar do not have any means of transport apart from motorcycles and they face hindrances to making use of even this mode of conveyance. The ban on pillion-riding raises a lot of questions: will the law and order situation only remain calm if pillion-riding is banned
In addition to this, the Levis personnel are doing the same what the FC personnel did with the ordinary masses in the name of law and order, to frisk them at every corner, make them up their hands, ask trivial questions and in short they have been putting their lives into miseries for no reason.
So, the deputy commissioner Khuzdar and other authorities concerned are requested to lift the ban on pillion riding and the Levis personnel should be instructed to behave with the people as their protectors not masters.
